Solving all my permission issues on Ubuntu

So many permission issues when copying files / folders from an outside source like a remove drive or Dropbox to my hard-disk that I have this mini-snippet to solve them all.

chmod -R 755 directory/
cd directory/
find -type f -exec chmod 644 {} \;
cd ..
