Site Review : shoutmouth.com Over the last couple of years, a lot of bookmarking sites have sprung up. Digg.com, Reddit.com, del.icio.us are some of the famous ones. All of them are general news sites which is a listing of popular links bookmarked by the community in general. A new and similar site called Shoutmouth is following the trend of community driven websites. But this one is streamlined to showcase music news only with categories set to genre. I think the next wave of community driven sites would be focused on a specific type of news rather than general ones. Though still in beta, the simplicity of the website is what makes the navigation easy. No complex sidebars with flashy ads and the like which makes it difficult to differentiate between the main content and the rest - just the category index and the most popular ones and the news listing in the middle. This is one of the few sites that I've come across thats built on the Xaraya Content Management System. Though there is a list of outbound share-this links like 'digg This' for each news story, I was really expecting an inbound version - 'digg this' kinda thing ('shout this' ?) for web-blog-masters to integrate into their sites.
